Since 2022, the School has admitted undergraduate students majoring in Physical Education, and starting in 2025, it will enroll graduate students in the discipline of Subject Teaching (Physical Education), thus forming an integrated undergraduate–postgraduate talent cultivation system. Over the past three years, the School has undertaken 6 research projects funded by the Ministry of Education and provincial-level philosophy and social sciences programs, as well as 37 educational reform and scientific research projects at the prefectural level or above, and has published nearly 100 academic papers, with cumulative research funding reaching 800,000 yuan. In terms of teaching reform, the School has continuously improved its talent cultivation programs, advanced refined management, organized academic competitions and social practice activities, and comprehensively enhanced students' professional skills and overall competencies. Public physical education follows the philosophy of "Teaching Mastery, Diligent Practice, and Frequent Competition," integrating more than ten on-campus events such as the university sports meet, the sports culture festival, and the "Big Three Ball Games" league. This has fostered a campus sports culture atmosphere of "civilized spirit and robust physique," with students' physical fitness test excellence rate consistently maintaining a high level for many years. In off-campus competitions, students majoring in physical education have also demonstrated strong abilities and potential, winning over 100 national, provincial, and municipal awards in the past three years. Notably, in their debut appearance at the Provincial University Games, they achieved a third prize overall. Among them, the men's and women's volleyball teams won 2nd and 5th places respectively, and several other events also achieved expected results.

Looking ahead, the School will uphold the university motto of "Virtue and Knowledge, Practicality and Innovation," focus on cultivating high-quality physical education teachers and innovative talents, deepen projects to enhance physical literacy and health, serve the national strategies of building a strong education system and a strong sports nation, and contribute to the cultivation of well-rounded socialist builders and successors.
