
Dr. Huang (Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in systems engineering and engineering management from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2005. He currently is a Dazhi Professor of Information Engineering with the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University, Guangzhou, China. From July 2016 to June 2025, he was a Full Professor with the School of Information Engineering, Guangdong University of Technology in Guangzhou. Prior to the two positions in Mainland China, he held a faculty position with Hong Kong Baptist University, and several research appointments, namely, with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the University of Naples “Federico II,” Naples, Italy. His research interests include array signal processing, radar signal processing, signal processing for communications as well as integrated sensing and communications, robust designs for signal processing, optimization analysis and algorithms, cross-disciplinary research (machine learning for signal processing, AI for science and engineering).
He has been an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing (since 2024), IEEE Transactions on Signal and Information Processing Over Networks (2021–2025), IEEE Signal Processing Letters (2016–2020), and a Handling Editor of the Elsevier Signal Processing (2020–2024). He was a member of Sensor Array and Multichannel Signal Processing Technical Committee (SAM TC, 2017–2022) of IEEE Signal Processing Society He was the corecipient of the Best Poster Award in the 2007 International Workshop on Optimization and Signal Processing.
