A Vibrant Campus, Enjoying Sports to the Fullest
Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University has always adhered to the concept of all-round development, placing great emphasis on cultivating students' sportsmanship and athletic skills. The School of Physical Education and Health provides students with a rich and diverse platform for athletic engagement through a multifaceted system of professional activities.





The on-campus sports competition system is well established.The annual sports meet brings together faculty and students on the same field, where 100-meter sprints, high jump, long jump, and relay races showcase youthful vigor. University-level competitions in the "Big Three" sports—basketball, volleyball, and football—and the "Small Three" sports—table tennis, badminton, and tennis—are held in succession, drawing enthusiastic participation from students. These events stimulate a sense of competition and foster team spirit.






The construction of professional training teams has yielded remarkable results.The university has established 26 Group A and Group B training teams, covering the Big Three and Small Three ball games, as well as martial arts, short and long weapons, swimming, and aerobics. These teams have repeatedly achieved excellent results in competitions at various levels, demonstrating the university's athletic expertise and capability in talent cultivation. Among them, the Group A football team displayed formidable strength and, with its strong teamwork, superb skills, and fighting spirit, emerged as the national champion in the 2023–2024 National University Division Finals of the National Youth Campus Football League. The martial arts and short/long weapons team also made a mark at the 9th World Traditional Wushu Championships, winning three world gold medals, thus writing a new chapter in the university's excellence in physical education and talent development.
Arich variety of sports clubs further broadens students' athletic choices.The university has 22 sports clubs, enabling students with different interests to find their own athletic space.
On-campus sports competitions, professional training teams, and sports clubs complement each other and jointly form a multi-level, all-encompassing campus sports activity system. This system injects continuous vitality into students’ campus life and lays a solid foundation for cultivating well-rounded talents in the new era.
